Do you have an idea for a product or service, but don’t know how to launch it? Do you have a passion for something and want to take it to a higher level? Perhaps you don’t already have these ideas, but you possess the drive and the zeal to be more than just a business woman working 9 to 5. If you have what it takes to be a woman entrepreneur, then let The Power of Mentorship for the Woman Entrepreneur help you to shape your future.
Powerful women, powerful lessons
This phenomenal and inspirational book, edited by Melinda Boyer, features stories by 24 women entrepreneurs from all different walks of life, each of who offers her own insights, advice, tips, wisdom and philosophies for helping up-and-coming women entrepreneurs take control of their destinies.
These powerful women include Marie Diamond, Patricia Fripp, Olivia Ramirez, Robin Jay and many others who are currently at the top of their game. The lessons they teach include:
● making a global impact
● turning your passion into wealth
● looking and feeling your best
● building lasting relationships
● making your business work
● enjoying life and having it all
More than just a self-help guide for women business owners and a blueprint for success, this book is profoundly deep and spiritual in nature, setting it apart from other guides for women entrepreneurs. The main themes that many of these women present include:
● the “Law of Attraction”
● being receptive to the universe/God/the “higher power(s)”
● the “Attitude of Gratitude”
● how your thoughts—positive or negative—become reality
● believing in yourself and never giving up
● building character during times of adversity
● not letting fear control your destiny
Unique journeys and experiences
All these contributing female mentors present many of the same themes and ideas in their own way, as each one draws upon her own experiences and philosophies to convey her message. They all outline and emphasize their points, give practical exercises designed to get the reader to look deep within herself (and examine her business and/or her life) and share their various stories in uplifting, light-hearted and humorous ways.
Each woman also features a short biography about herself and provides you with both contact and website information. They all have a different style of writing and communication with the reader, yet all 24 women talk to the reader in a “conversational” style, addressing the reader personally.
Though the target audience is mainly women entrepreneurs—not to mention an American audience, as these mentors are primarily based in the United States—there’s no reason why any woman cannot apply these nuggets of wisdom and advice to her own life.
Believing in oneself, persevering, advancing through adversity and the Law of Attraction are among many of the key messages that all women can internalize, whether they be budding entrepreneurs (or making a living by working for one), staying at home to raise her family or having retired after a long life of the “rat race.” There is so much information and advice to digest, yet overall, it is a smooth, quick read—a book that should be devoured over and over again, and taken to heart.
