Canada's first online magazine & community for women entrepreneurs.

In July 2007, the WCDA team invited women entrepreneurs to apply for a one-of-a-kind makeover opportunity: the ONE MINUTE MAKEOVER (OMM). We asked our readers to tell us what they needed help with the most in order to improve their businesses. They responded with such unique and inspiring stories, it made the selection process difficult.

How it works

Like a What Not to Wear for business skills, each OMM teams up a woman business owner with an expert in a particular field to see how she can do things better and "makeover" certain business skills. Each selected candidate will be provided with an action plan to get her business into shape. Our goal is to provide these candidates with professional advice, send them on their way and check up on them three-six months later (because change takes time) to see how they've done.

Candidates will receive an hour-long consultation and 20 minutes of follow-up phone support in exchange for allowing us to share their before, during and after journey with the WCDA community.

Four incredible business women have bravely sought out guidance in order to improve their companies and we’ve teamed them up with four extraordinarily talented professionals (experts) who will provide them with advice and an action plan that will put them on the road to success.
