Twin sisters Fiona and Jennifer Lees are the creators of the lip-gloss line Balmshell. With no experience in the cosmetic industry but determination, hard work and a lot of style they turned their dream into a reality.
Michelle Planche of Paradigm Events started her business in 1996 and specializes in conference and special event planning. In 2005 she won the Canadian Event Producer of the Year Award. She was also the executive producer of the TV series Source that highlighted the struggles and successes of an entrepreneur.
Carissa Reiniger of Silver Lining is 25, been in business for three years and already has offices in four cities, a combined staff of 16 and revenues of over $1.4 million. Silver Lining helps small businesses identify business development plans and then uses communication strategies to ensure they reach their goals.
$50 for members/$65 for non-members + GST + $5 if pay at the door includes three-course dinner, speaker and cash bar
